1. Agreement

These Submission Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern submissions to the Time Capsule for Humanity project administered by the Time Capsule Foundation (“Foundation”). By submitting content (“Submission”), the contributor (“Contributor”) agrees to be legally bound by this Agreement.

2. Grant of Rights

Contributor grants the Foundation an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to: - Store, preserve, catalogue, digitize, and archive the Submission - Reproduce, adapt, publish, display, perform, transmit, translate, and distribute the Submission in any media now known or later developed - Use the Submission in exhibitions, publications, educational programs, documentaries, media projects, research, and digital platforms - Share the Submission with cultural institutions, museums, libraries, academic partners, or trusted archival partners aligned with the mission of cultural preservation, including but not limited to UNESCO-affiliated institutions, national libraries, archives, universities, and public museums - Use the Submission in promotional and public communications related to the Foundation’s mission

3. Intellectual Property

• Contributor retains original copyright.
• Contributor waives all claims to royalties, compensation, commercial rights, and moral rights enforcement related to use of the Submission.
• Contributor agrees not to assert IP or usage claims against the Foundation or its partners.

4. No Withdrawal

Due to the archival purpose, Submissions are final and cannot be revoked or removed once submitted.

5. Representations & Warranties

Contributor warrants that:

• Submission is original and created by Contributor. 
• Submission does not infringe third-party rights. - No permissions or licenses are required to enable this Agreement.
• Submission does not contain unlawful or harmful material.

Contributor indemnifies and holds harmless the Foundation from any claims arising from breach of these warranties.

6. Preservation & Editorial Rights

The Foundation may edit, adapt, translate, or reformat the Submission solely for preservation, clarity, accessibility, or exhibition purposes while respecting original intent.

7. Privacy & Personal Data

Contributor consents to the use of personal information as necessary for archival, educational, and exhibition purposes. Anonymity may be requested at submission.

8. Minors

If Contributor is under 18, a parent/guardian must consent and will be considered a party to this Agreement.

9. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the full understanding and supersedes all prior discussions.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of Foundation registration.

11. Global Cultural Institution Collaboration

Contributor acknowledges and agrees that their Submission may be shared with global cultural preservation partners, including museums, libraries, archives, universities, and UNESCO-affiliated heritage programs, solely for the purposes of preservation, research, education, and public cultural access.

12. Acceptance

Submission constitutes full acceptance of these terms without limitation.
